Gas Subholding Ensures Gas Supply for MBG and Homecoming Traffic

Jakarta – Pertamina's gas subholding, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk ("PGN"), through its subsidiary, PT Gagas Energi Indonesia ("PGN Gagas"), continues to expand its natural gas supply support for the Free Nutritious Meals ("MBG") program in various regions. After successfully distributing natural gas for MBG using the beyond-pipeline method in Boyolali, Semarang, and Batam, PGN Gagas has resumed distributing natural gas to Riand Catering in Bogor, with a total monthly supply of 3,000 m3 as of Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Haji Purwadi, owner of Riand Catering, explained that the reason for choosing natural gas was its practicality and competitive price. "My team can cook with peace of mind without worrying about running out of fuel, especially during the upcoming long holiday," said Haji Purwadi. Haji Purwadi explained that during the current holiday season, his catering is not serving MBG and only caters to regular customers or general orders. However, when schools reopen, Riand Catering will provide approximately 3,200 meals per day to elementary schools around Bogor City.

By increasing gas distribution in Bogor City, Subholding Gas will now support the provision of approximately 15,600 meals per day, with a total volume of approximately 8,000 m3 per month. PGN Gagas President Director, Santiaji Gunawan, expressed his commitment to supporting Subholding Gas in supporting the government's strategic programs, including President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita (Asta Cita) program to improve the quality of education and health. "The form of support we provide is through the guaranteed supply of natural gas energy in the form of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) through Gaslink, which is always ready for use at kitchen locations used for the MBG program and which happen to not be accessible by pipeline gas," explained Santiaji.
